With Trace, we provide you all the equipment you’ll need to film your games.
3. PlayerFocus subscription*
To access your footage, you'll need a PlayerFocus subscription in addition to your Equipment subscription. Choose your tier of access and features. Pay annually now, or choose month-to-month billing option in your Trace account after starting an Equipment subscription.
Other families you film will be able to choose their access level and subscription duration on their own from shared game links.

3. Bulk PlayerFocus Pro subscriptions
To access the footage, you will need a PlayerFocus subscription. For teams interested in group purchases, we offer bulk discounts on our annual PlayerFocus Pro plan. Once you purchase your subscriptions, you’ll receive codes for each person to use when starting their PlayerFocus Pro subscription on Trace. Don't forget about your coach!

To get started, purchase an Equipment subscription and add one of our Player subscriptions before filming your first game. We offer three options for a Player subscription, each are listed on the pricing page with details of what’s included..
For other players who want personalized, automatic highlights from your camera, add them to your team’s roster and they’ll be invited to purchase a Player subscription separately.

- Frequently asked questions
Using a sensor was always a stepping stone for Trace. We want to be able to work on any camera and any sport without extra equipment. For the past five years, we’ve been teaching and training a computer to pick up and track individual players through video. In the same way that you would recognize your son or daughter if shown a 5 second clip, we’ve taught a computer to do the same: players have different hair, different body types, different habits, different ways they run, and a computer can be taught to identify these things and more!
This version of Trace is currently only available for soccer.
Yes, exactly. We did this to simplify Trace pricing. Instead of having to get the whole team on board, each family can purchase at their leisure and you can get started without having to get buy in and collect money from everyone.
It would be $495 to lease the camera. To receive highlights of each kid, you’ll need two PlayerFocus subscriptions. Each child will be $15 / month. So over the course of a year, that’s $495 + 2 * 12 * 15 = ~$855.
Beta means this product and pricing are new, and we’re looking for early adopters to provide feedback. We expect everyone to love this product, but we lean on our customers to make Trace even better.
Trace’s AI analyzes each game and breaks it down into video highlights for a player. A player receives a playlist of all their game highlights. In addition to the player highlights, we also find team highlights, like goals or other essential team events. Every coach, parent, and player assigned to an account will receive a link to the personalized results by email after each game.
Yes. You’ll manage the camera in an app. Once you start recording you don’t need to do anything until the game is over!
As long as you are simulating a game, Trace can be used. Coaches and teams use Trace for scrimmages at practice, for ID Camps, and more. What you need is to have two halves (can be between 25 – 45 mins) and to switch sides at halftime. That’s it. Fields can be different dimensions, and you can have as many people on each side as you want (as long as you have a goalie).
Equipment owners run the Trace equipment from the Trace Teams App. Create your upcoming games and manage your Teams within the Trace Teams App. Trace Teams App is compatible with iPhones and Android devices. No app is needed to view Trace game footage.
You can download the full game video of any match or any moment captured by Trace with a PlayerFocus or PlayerFocus Pro subscription. Downloads are not available for our Basic plan.
Your equipment subscription begins on the day you purchase. Your equipment subscription will end or renew on the same date the following year.
Yes. Your equipment subscription is all-inclusive and renews each year.
Yes! Film as many teams as you want. You’ll be able to create as many rosters and everytime you add a player to their roster they’ll be invited to start their own Player subscription.
With this new way to use Trace there are some features that won’t be accessible. Because each player won’t need to wear a GPS sensor, we won’t be able to collect certain metrics like speed, distance ran, and heat map. If you’re looking for more performance metrics we’d recommend starting a Team plan.
