West Coast SC Chooses Trace to Strengthen Club Recruiting Resources

TRACY, CA + AUSTIN, TX (April 12, 2021) – Soccer game film systems have become table stakes for top soccer clubs across the country. Clubs see the tremendous value in using game film to accelerate player development and provide an invaluable resource for athletes that want to play college soccer. West Coast Soccer Club is no exception. West Coast SC and Trace have entered a 2-year partnership to outfit the club’s GA teams with Trace’s game film system. With Trace, teams will be able to automatically film matches and scrimmages, create Trace iD recruiting profiles for each player, and receive educational content for both players and coaches from Trace’s on-staff experts.

“Players can receive their personalized Moments, updated their Trace iDs, and send out new game footage to college coaches all within 24 hours of stepping off the field. It puts them in a really advantageous position with recruiters.”

Troy Dayak, Director of Coaching, West Coast Soccer Club

“Trace has been a game changer for our recruitment process,” says Troy Dayak, Director of Coaching at West Coast Soccer Club. “Players can receive their personalized Moments, update their Trace iDs, and send out new game footage to college coaches all within 24 hours of stepping off the field. It puts them in a really advantageous position with recruiters, and they’ve definitely been seeing more interest because of it. Now, we’re excited to provide this benefit to additional teams within the club.”

West Coast Soccer Club is committed to teaching fundamental skills, instilling confidence and building a love for the game of soccer in youth players while continuing to develop those players to their highest potential through excellent qualified coaching and superior training in a positive environment.

The club focuses on developing well-rounded individuals in all four pillars of the game: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological. Through partnering with Trace, West Coast SC will be equipped with the most advanced technology for game film analysis to give players and coaches the tools to improve more rapidly. Here are a few of the new tools included in the Trace system:

Personalized moment playlists are sent to player’s inboxes after every game, and can be utilized for 1-on-1 coaching sessions, allowing coaches to create custom development plans for each player.

Trace Radar helps coaches focus on the tactical with a real-time, bird’s eye view of all players on the field.

GPS sensor data allows each player to receive individual player metrics for each game. Coaches and players can view core metrics like Top Speed, Distance Ran, Minutes Played, Stamina, and Max Efforts.

As video becomes more crucial than ever for player development and recruiting, West Coast SC is committed to providing it’s teams with new and innovative ways to reach college coaches. Trace iD, Trace’s own recruiting platform, allows players to create the ultimate highlight reel and take control of their own recruiting process. Players simply select their best match moments, add them to their Trace iD, and seamlessly share the playlist link with college coaches across the country.

“We’re excited to partner with West Coast Soccer Club,” says David Lokshin, Founder of Trace. “Video analysis is quickly becoming an invaluable tool that clubs need to invest in to stay ahead of the curve, and West Coast SC is a front-runner in realizing the value a solution like Trace brings to their club.”

By collaborating with Trace, West Coast SC now has the tools to foster development for both players and coaches, increases player retention within the club and provides additional exposure to recruiting-age players, all under one platform.
