LFCIA SoCal Begins Partnership with Trace for Player Development and Recruiting

IRVINE, CA + AUSTIN, TX (July 23, 2021) – Liverpool FC International Academy SoCal (LFCIA) and Trace Soccer have partnered this season to outfit 38 of the club’s competitive level teams with the Trace game film system. With Trace, these teams will be able to automatically film matches and scrimmages, create Trace iD recruiting profiles for each player, and receive educational content for both players and coaches from Trace’s on-staff experts.

“We are now able to provide our members with one, all-inclusive platform for player development and recruiting. Trace will allow our coaches and parents to focus their attention on our players, versus manually filming or editing game video.

Tim Woodcock, CEO | Liverpool FC International Academy SoCal

Over the last few years, soccer game film systems have become table stakes for top soccer clubs across the country. Clubs see the tremendous value in using game film to accelerate player development and provide an invaluable resource for athletes that want to play college soccer. Liverpool FC International Academy is no different.

“Partnering  with an industry leader like Trace is exciting for our organization,” says Tim Woodcock, CEO of LFCIA SoCal. “We are now able to provide our members with one, all-inclusive platform for player development and recruiting. Trace will allow our coaches and parents to focus their attention on our players, versus manually filming or editing game video. We are excited to be able to offer this great platform to our LFCIA coaches, players, and families!”

LFC International Academy is the global youth coaching arm of LFC. They provide youth soccer players in Southern California the same coaching curriculum and techniques that are used with the Club’s own young players at the Academy in Liverpool.

Through partnering with Trace, LFCIA will be equipped with the most advanced technology for game film analysis to give players and coaches the tools to improve more rapidly. Here are a few of the new tools included in the Trace system:

Personalized moment playlists are sent to player’s inboxes after every game, and can be utilized for 1-on-1 coaching sessions, allowing coaches to create custom development plans for each player.
GPS sensor data allows each player to receive individual player metrics for each game. Coaches and players can view core metrics like Top Speed, Distance Ran, Minutes Played, Stamina, and Max Efforts.
Trace’s real-time, national Leaderboards are a great way for players to receive extra recruiting exposure, as college recruiters are utilizing them to find undiscovered talent.

As video becomes more crucial than ever for player development and recruiting, LFCIA is committed to providing it’s teams with new and innovative ways to reach college coaches.

Trace iD, Trace’s own recruiting platform, allows players to create the ultimate highlight reel and take control of their own recruiting process. Players simply select their best match moments, add them to their Trace iD, and seamlessly share the playlist link with college coaches across the country. It’s how one ECNL player managed to secure a spot on a D1 College Soccer team amidst the pandemic.

“Many clubs and coaches say that they are dedicated to player development and continuing education, but few are willing to truly make the commitment and investment to back that up in the way LFCIA has and continues to do.”

David Lokshin, CEO of Trace Soccer

“Many clubs and coaches say that they are dedicated to player development and continuing education, but few are willing to truly make the commitment and investment to back that up in the way LFCIA has and continues to do,” says David Lokshin, Founder of Trace. “Liverpool FC International Academy knows that to truly develop a player today video analysis has to be a part of the curriculum. LFCIA is a front-runner in realizing the value a solution like Trace brings to their club.”

By collaborating with Trace, Liverpool FC International Academy now has the tools to foster development for both players and coaches and provide additional exposure to recruiting-age players, all under one platform.

LFCIA joins over 100 other clubs and organizations that have partnered with Trace for large-scale adoption within their organization.
